Gorillas are the largest of the living primates. They are ground-dwelling and predominantly herbivorous. Lowland Gorillas live in dense forests and lowland swamps and marshes as low as sea level, with Western Lowland Gorillas living in Central West African countries and Eastern Lowland Gorillas living in the Democratic Republic of the Congo near its border with Rwanda.
The okapi is a giraffid artiodactyl mammal native to the Ituri Rainforest, located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in Central Africa. Although the okapi bears striped markings reminiscent of the zebra, it is most closely related to the giraffe.
The Inga Dams are a series of hydroelectric dams located on the Congo River in Inga of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, approximately 225 km southwest of Kinshasa. The current two existing dams, Inga I and Inga II, are rated at 351 MW and 1,424 MW respectively.
